So we have the boys, Mr. Brian Greenway, Mr. Marinus Van Den Ende (Dutch) and son, Nicholas. All of these boys like to build fire and get noticeably irritated when we women try and join in.
In this picture we have Preet Van Den Ende (Indian married Dutch) and daughter Saskia NOT being involved in fire. We had to fight for the right and we saved our energy until later that evening.

I don't look genuinely happy in this picture because I wasn't told it was being taken. I thought Marinus was just lining up my camera, so I was saving my big cheese for "Three." There's another picture he took after I hollered at him, but the flames got so high it looks like Brian caught alight. This one'll have to do.
See that little tent in the far right corner? That's what Skyla, Brian and I have to squeeze into. Nice and clammy in the morning. My idea of glamor. NOT. Needless to say, we're GETTING A NEW TENT when we move to the States.![]() |

Good Morning Skyla!! The reason she wasn't in many photos is because she was having too much fun playing in the larger tent. Other activities she got to enjoy included frisbee-throwing (no worries, all teeth still present because Daddy didn't play), chicken and turkey watching, donkey, goat and sheepdog watching, and kitten chasing. This campsite was also a very friendly farm. No horses or cows, and the animals were a good distance from the sleeping/cooking area so no harm done. Just nice for the kids to have an eventful walk together.

She had "porridge" (OATMEAL) for breakfast so she didn't have to wait for Daddy's attempt at running a restaurant. She had far too many plans for the day.
Brian cooked over gas hobs instead of the fire for breakfast because it was quicker and more efficient. Whenever he cooks, he sticks a "tea towel" (DISH TOWEL/CLOTH) in his pocket like you see in the picture to the right which I find secretly adorable. It's like his costume when he plays chef.
My favorite part was the starry sky at night---in which ALL (Marinus, Preet, Brian and I) of us saw MORE THAN ONE SHOOTING STAR---EACH!!!! Never seeing one at the same time. I personally think I saw the biggest one EVER----it was SO bright and it lasted for longer than a split second----I thought it was someone parachuting on fire!!! AMAZED. I made lots of wishes.
