"Doghouse"

I've included a couple of close-ups so you could study the art properly. You'll find that she's built the doghouse out of bones, and has a leash and collar for every animal. My favorite part is the humor Skyla's been adding to her pictures through facial expressions on her characters.

I know I didn't post yesterday, but to be fair, Skyla has swimming lessons on Mondays, so with her schoolwork and dinner, there is no time for new drawings. She's already informed me of her next color picture. *SPOILER* It will be a sunset.

Skyla rarely uses color when she draws because she finds crayons' texture too inconsistent, and therefore frustrating, plus she's found that markers run dry quickly when she uses them for her elaborate, full-page ideas. She uses an ink pen now; a clean pointed tip that takes much longer to run out. One utensil means no wasted time capping and uncapping, so those pages get filled pretty quickly!

I thought the dog in the top, right corner was a doggie gate, but Skyla has corrected me with the information that it is another dog, flying, stuck to a piece of WOOD which has ROCKETS attached to the bottom of it, propelling him up in the air in order to steal the bone he's holding................. Yes. That was my next guess, Skyla.
